  1. Take Exit 38 for N Graham Street.

From uptown Charlotte

What to expect when visiting

  • When you arrive: Pull into the gravel lot and park near the triage bay. If no one comes out within a minute, walk up to the bay and ask for the yard manager or whoever's on duty. The three yard dogs (Kona, Biscuit, and Ramsey) will greet you — they're friendly.
  • Browsing the lot: Walk-ins are welcome during business hours. You're free to walk the rows and look at totes. Each tote has a chalk mark indicating its grade (A, B, F, R, X). If you're not sure what the marks mean, ask — anyone on the crew can explain the grading system.
  • Buying at the yard: Pick the totes you want, tell the crew member, and they'll pull them to the loading area. Payment at the shop: cash, check, credit card, or ACH. We load your truck or trailer.
  • Selling at the yard: If you're bringing empties to sell, email ahead so we can have a bay ready. Drive your truck to the unloading area and the crew will assess the totes and make an offer. Cash or check on the spot.
  • Safety: The yard is a working industrial site. Wear closed-toe shoes (no sandals). Watch for forklifts and the electric tug. Stay on the gravel paths and out of the grinding area unless accompanied by a crew member.
  • Kids and families: Kids are welcome but must be supervised at all times. The yard dogs are kid-friendly. The fab shop and grinder area are off-limits to children.

Parking

  • Cars and pickups: Gravel parking area near the triage bay. Space for approximately 8 vehicles.
  • Trucks with trailers: Pull through the main gate and follow the gravel road to the loading area. We can accommodate up to a 53-foot trailer. Turning radius is tight for doubles — call ahead if you're pulling a combination.
  • Box trucks: Park in the loading area. We'll load with our forklift.
  • Overflow: If the lot is full (rare), there's street parking on N Graham Street within 200 feet of the gate.

Accessibility

The yard is a gravel-surfaced industrial lot. The triage bay and shop have concrete floors. We can accommodate wheelchair users in the shop and triage areas, but the tote rows are on compacted gravel and may be difficult for mobility devices. If you need assistance, email us before your visit and we'll stage the totes you want to see in the accessible area.

Why no phone?

We get this question a lot. Here is the honest answer: our yard manager would rather spend his time inspecting cages and answering emails than sitting on phone calls. Email gives us a written record of every conversation, every quote, and every specification — which means fewer mistakes and faster resolution when something goes sideways. We respond to every email within one business day, and most emails get a reply within 2–4 hours during business hours.

If you really need real-time communication, drive up to the yard. Face-to-face is always better than phone for what we do.
